How the food we eat can connect kids to nature

argylesock says… Every year in season, we’d go to the Pick Your Own farm. Then we’d eat strawberries with cream, my mother would make jam and pies… you never forget something like that.

About argylesock

I wrote a PhD about veterinary parasitology so that's the starting point for this blog. But I'm now branching out into other areas of biology and into popular science writing. I'll write here about science that happens in landscapes, particularly farmland, and about science involving interspecific interactions. Datasets and statistics get my attention. Exactly where this blog will lead? That's a journey that I'm on and I hope you'll come with me.

  1. Argylesock, I noticed we commented on the same blog from Rebecca Hosking, I would like to use some of the information/links you have on your site if I may. I have an Organic “micro-farm” and am listed in the WWOOFing catalog. Thanks for your time. Frack_Free_Farming on wordpress but my web site is much better, I’m still trying to figure out how to eliminate the multiple blogs I have on wordpress. —Peace and Be safe.
