argylesock says… This is not an impressive start by our new Chief Scientific Advisor, Prof Sir Mark Walport. The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA, headed by Owen Paterson) is dragging its feet too. How much science do these people want before they’ll be convinced?

    Hello Sam, as you know I bow to no one in my cynicism regarding politicians – do you think they prefer it this way because as the price of dwindling food supplies spirals they and their rich friends will make even more money? Just a thought 🙂
