Another wheat lawsuit filed against Monsanto

argylesock says… Another case of GM wheat (Triticum aestivum) growing where nobody expected it. That’s genetically modified wheat, also called genetically engineered (GE) or biotech wheat. This time, the unexpected GM wheat is in Oregon. If like me, you’re not very familiar with the States, you might like a reminder in this map. I wish this farmer, Bill Budde, success in his lawsuit against the biotech giant.

[Edit] Is this story true? It’s in the Huffington Post, word-for-word with the article linked to in the post I’ve reblogged here. But I haven’t yet seen any other reports of Mr Budd’s lawsuit.

About argylesock

I wrote a PhD about veterinary parasitology so that's the starting point for this blog. But I'm now branching out into other areas of biology and into popular science writing. I'll write here about science that happens in landscapes, particularly farmland, and about science involving interspecific interactions. Datasets and statistics get my attention. Exactly where this blog will lead? That's a journey that I'm on and I hope you'll come with me.
