The European Union changed its policy last year, to stop good fish being discarded dead from boats. Here’s celebrity chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall crowing about the Fish Fight. No more discards in European seas!
I’m proud of the Fish Fight too. But a note of caution. Last summer, politicians in our House of Lords (the UK Government’s upper chamber) warned of a risk that discards at sea will simply become discards on land.
