argylesock says… Stinging nettles (Urtica dioica) are edible. Here are some nettle recipes. But do avoid picking in places where dogs are likely to have been doing the dirty because you could pick up zoonotic diseases.

What do you mean?
Well, you said nettles were edible, so I thought I would add to that. Nettle tea is really glood for cleansing your system of toxins – a good ‘detox’ tea. It tastes god awful though :S
