Hillary Clinton loves biotech and she doesn’t love climate change denial

Here’s a report about Hillary Clinton’s opinions on biotechnology and climate change. Mrs Clinton may, or may not, aim to become President of the United States.

She makes clear in this report that she loves crop biotech. ‘[A]s U.S. Secretary of State she was a major proponent of genetically engineered [GE, genetically modified, GM] seeds, especially drought-resistant ones. She added that one of her official programs was to encourage people in Africa to use GMOs to grow their own food.’

About climate change Mrs Clinton said, ‘The debate is settled. What is not settled is what we are going to do about it.’

About argylesock

I wrote a PhD about veterinary parasitology so that's the starting point for this blog. But I'm now branching out into other areas of biology and into popular science writing. I'll write here about science that happens in landscapes, particularly farmland, and about science involving interspecific interactions. Datasets and statistics get my attention. Exactly where this blog will lead? That's a journey that I'm on and I hope you'll come with me.
