Here’s a report about Hillary Clinton’s opinions on biotechnology and climate change. Mrs Clinton may, or may not, aim to become President of the United States.
She makes clear in this report that she loves crop biotech. ‘[A]s U.S. Secretary of State she was a major proponent of genetically engineered [GE, genetically modified, GM] seeds, especially drought-resistant ones. She added that one of her official programs was to encourage people in Africa to use GMOs to grow their own food.’
About climate change Mrs Clinton said, ‘The debate is settled. What is not settled is what we are going to do about it.’
I suppose she woudl have to say something nice about bio-tech. One of the primary roles of the state department is to sell American industry overseas.
That’s true. It’s great in many ways but when it’s GM crops, not great.
